Environmental Policy and RoHS

An important aspect of CHiL Semiconductor’s quality philosophy is a strong commitment to environmentally-sound manufacturing processes. All of our products are Lead (Pb) free, an increasingly important factor in modern electrical design. In our continuing effort to do more, we are working closely with suppliers and distributors in support of the European Union’s Directive on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). Following RoHS guidelines, CHiL Semiconductor restricts the presence of specific toxic substances, thereby reducing the environmental impact of discarding such products at the end of their useful life.

The RoHS Directive significantly restricts the use of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium and two bromine-containing flame retardants. CHiL Semiconductor is committed to complying with this Directive. We are working with partners to evaluate the latest restrictions, identify relevant exemptions, and to substitute environmentally-benign alternative materials in our product components and manufacturing processes.
